Vendor Spotlight Blog from Kristi Mckenna
An event or wedding content creator captures and edits photos and videos to be used primarily on Instagram, Tiktok or for personal use! We know how to get the right angles, trending sounds for that day, transitions and all the behind the scenes/organic content from the day. All videos I take from the big day are then handed off within 24 hours and are ready to post or view with your new partner. (A lot of couples love the idea of being able to view and reminisce about the night the very next day or on the plane ride to their honeymoon).
It’s important to remember that what a social content creator is NOT is a professional wedding videographer/photographer. (You’ll still want them on hand to capture those album-worthy images and the longer-form video content!) I am an addition to the media team there to offer a different perspective and experience.
Social media content creator are a perfect way to capture different parts of your day the videographer or photographer don’t have the capability to do. This includes behind the scenes moments, organic/silly moments, fun day of quick transitions. It’s basically a service where you can magical see your beautiful wedding day in an instant.
Photographers and videographers usually have a set process of what they’re capturing, and you’re going to get a defined package of assets. HOWEVER – some of the best moments are the things that you can’t predict, they happen when you least except it. They happen organically, those are the moments I am able to capture.
When considering a social content creator for your big day, it’s crucial to remember that our work extends before and after your wedding day. We conduct pre-wedding meetings to assure they deliver content tailor-made for your tastes, they’ll be on the ground for several hours of coverage on the day of (possibly of over 10 hour days at weddings), and we also offer a super quick turnaround on additional photos and videos after the night ends—usually within 24 hours. Add in the experience and expertise with social media platforms, just as you would a florist’s experience and expertise with creating arrangements, and you’ll be looking at rates comparable to those of other wedding vendors—and likely $1,000 and up.
You do not have to be a big social media influencer or creator yourself to want this service at your wedding. The luxury of having this service at your wedding is to get content/ bug moments at your fingertips. It’s another way to be able to bring in more creative forces to create an even more special day for you.
My current instagram in @kristi_mckenna and @kristimckennacreative. This is a brand new upcoming wedding offering and it’s important to know the effect and positive outcomes it can bring to the biggest day of your life. I have always had a passion for weddings and creating content, so something like this was just combining two loves into one.
