Every detail on the day of your wedding has to be perfect! Which means that every single vendor for the day of your wedding is very important. There’s more to the perfect wedding than, an amazing venue, entertainment, and amazing food! Now, when searching for any vendors there it can get overwhelming because there are so many questions you will need to ask. We decided to compile a list of 10 important questions you HAVE to ask your wedding vendors!

Lets start with the easy stuff:

1. Have you worked at my wedding venue before?What is your communication style and how long before the wedding will we be in contact?

It’s okay if the vendor has not worked at the venue but it is good to know if they have because if they have they would probably know the ins and outs of the venue which could lead to a smooth day!

2. What is your communication style and how long before the wedding will we be in contact?

You will always want to know what the vendor’s communication style that way you know how to contact them and how early to contact them!

3. Can we customize your packages/services you provide?

Depending on the type of service, the vendor might offer customizable services! So, you always want to know if that is an option or not!

4. Do you have any restrictions or requirements for any of your services?

Some vendors require a minimum guest count or specific equipment needs so, make sure you find out if that is the case!!

5. How far in advance do I have to book your services?

Some vendors may have a specific advance booking requirement for their services for your big day.

 

Now the “juicy” questions:

6. What is your cancellation policy?

Unfortunately, sometimes things happen so you HAVE to know what every vendor’s cancellation policy is, just in case!

7. What is your payment schedule and preferred method of payment?

Everyone has a preferred method of payment or some kind of payment schedule (and if they don’t that is a sign to not book them), so make sure you ask what it is!

8. Are there any additional fees that I should be aware of? 

You always want to know fees! ALWAYS!

9. Do you have any preferred vendors that you work with or recommend?

Most vendors have a preferred vendors list so… just ask them for it!

10. How many staff members will be working on the day of the wedding?

This is a great question to ask! You always want to know how many staff members will be on site the day of your wedding.
