What exactly is Two Peas Paper Co?
I’m a watercolor artist and stationery designer specializing in beautiful custom paper goods for weddings & events! Two Peas Paper Co. got it’s name from a few things; my family nickname growing up was “Pea Pod” and when I got married myself, my family referred to my husband and I as two peas in a pod. We now have two beautiful children that fill our little pod and are the reason I do what I do!
Why are your services necessary for the big day?
Wedding invitations are the first glimpse of your wedding to your guests, and one of the longest lasting pieces of your big day. Guests get so excited when they open incredible wedding invitations; let’s hype them up even months ahead of time! When you have custom artwork hand-painted just for you, to tell your love story, it becomes a beautiful relic of love to share not only with your wedding guests but with your own family for generations to come. My goal is not to just make you beautiful wedding invitations, but works of art that brand your wedding and become memories you proudly display in your home for years to come. It’s so much more than paper – it’s your brand!
How do your services transform the big day?
Your guests will be wowed as they see artwork incorporated all the way through your wedding experience. From save the dates, invitations, day-of details like signage, menus, to sweet details like cocktail napkins with your hand painted venue or pup on the front! After working with my clients, they often tell me that their stationery was their favorite part of wedding planning, as it set the tone for every other aspect of their big day. Imagine your guests’ amazement when they walk into your ceremony space that looks just like the venue we painted for your envelope liner, or see your custom crest on the dance floor! The possibilities are endless.
How much do your services typically cost/ what to budget for?
I work with a large range of budgets! Some of my couples opt for semi-custom invitations & day-of details ranging between $1,000 – $3,000. Most of my custom wedding clients spend between $5,000 – $10,000+, as they often order additional branded paper goods for the wedding day and beyond. I’m always transparent and willing to work with my couples to help them decide which add-ons or package is best for them!
Are there any misconceptions couples should know?
My number one misconception is when couples assume I hand paint each invitation. I do hand paint your artwork (and you get to keep the originals), but I scan and design your invitations digitally so we can then print your art on anything you can imagine! Another misconception is that some couples think they need to go ALL-IN with details. Less
can be more, especially when budget is a concern, and I happily walk my clients through that when planning. Your wedding day is magical and oh so important, and I’m obviously a believer that details matter! But what matters most is building a life with your spouse that’s full of peace and not of stress. Your lifetime together is more important than one (incredible & special) day – so do your best to stick to your budget.
