We’re excited to share a gorgeous Indian-American wedding we worked with Tami and Shalin in February at Lowes Portofino Bay! Tami and Shalin were looking to have an elegant wedding that combined their cultures, incorporated all the events that were important to them, and kept their guests entertained all night long.
We had so much fun planning all the details and helping the couple bring their vision to life!
Tami and Shalin said they chose Loews Portofino as their venue because that’s where Shalin proposed. They thought it was beautiful and considering they both love Harry Potter (and Loews is a Universal Florida property), they decided the day he proposed to have their wedding there.
First, we have to highlight some getting-ready images that The Tattooed Bride captured. We are absolutely swooning over the gorgeous detail shots of the bridal party’s jewelry, the beautiful close-ups of Henna by Priyashah’s art, and the impeccably designed Indian clothes
Oh, and we can’t skip over this super fun detail: the Lamborghini rental courtesy of MPH Club! The vibrant red matched the color scheme of Tami and Shalin’s wedding perfectly.
When we asked Tami and Shalin for advice they would give to other couples, they said scheduling in time for just both of you to be alone together was the most important factor to consider. We have a hunch the couple already knew they were going to need some moments alone, so we made sure to schedule an intimate moment for them to do a first look.
Tami and Shalin said their number one priority for their elegant Indian-American wedding was making sure everyone had fun and enjoyed all the planned events. Brandee, their planner, said by the look on everyone’s faces, it definitely seems like they accomplished their goal!
We also love the cultural elements implemented throughout the day, including gorgeous Henna done by Henna by Priyashah, to make the couple’s wedding interactive and inclusive to everyone who attended.
We also have to give a huge shoutout to Raining Roses Productions for creating the gorgeous floral arrangements that were displayed all over their wedding day, and Sweet City Cupcakes who custom-designed these unique cupcakes!
