We are excited to present Edwin and Bricia’s wedding at one of our favorite venues, Casa Feliz!
Edwin and Bricia came to us with a vision of having a romantic, intimate, and vintage wedding. They loved Casa Feliz because it emulated that atmosphere perfectly. Plus, Edwin loves history and Bricia loved the outdoor ceremony setting.
It was important for the couple that all their guests felt welcome and included, especially since they knew there were going to be various cultural dynamics. Seeing that Edwin’s family is Nicaraguan-American and Christian, and Bricia’s family is Mexican-American and Catholic, including a little bit of everything and making it an inclusive wedding was their number one priority.
We were honored that the couple trusted us to bring their vision to life!
As planners who are all about the details, we can’t start this lovely couple’s highlight without featuring some of the beautiful pieces that made Edwin and Bricia’s wedding truly theirs. Johanna Oakes Photography perfectly captured all the small but significant pieces!
The sparkles in Bricia’s wedding shoes to the dusty pink accents on the wedding invites to the shimmering floral earrings to the coins — everything came together to create the elegant, multicultural, and inclusive wedding of their dreams!
Before the ceremony started, we of course had to get some getting-ready shots of Bricia! We especially loved the images of her sitting peacefully under her veil and Bricia’s mom helping her get ready. These two moments were so special to witness — they reminded everyone to slow down and soak up these precious moments.
Bricia and Edwin wanted to have a private first look with each other before the wedding, and we love their reactions! There were many happy tears shed.
After the first look, Johanna Oakes Photography, Love and Lustre films, and planner Rachel gathered up everyone to take photos together.
Next up, one of the most exciting parts: The ceremony! It was a gorgeous, vibrant outdoor ceremony. The florals that Bluegrass Chic Floral Design created complemented Casa Feliz beautifully. And we love the added fun detail of throwing confetti on the newly married couple as they left to get ready for the reception!
Bricia changed into a reception dress so she and her husband could dance all night long, surrounded by all their loved ones. It was a special moment of the wedding for the couple because they had family and friends who traveled from far away to attend their wedding. Edwin got to see his two best friends from the military, who he hadn’t seen since 2010. Bricia and her family also got to see her brother who has been serving in Japan for the U.S. Air Force for the last three years.
Needless to say, it was a super fun night for everyone because it was incredibly meaningful!
We also want to give a huge shoutout to DJ Rey and Kaleidoscope Event Lighting for keeping the crowd entertained all night long with music and ambiance!
Thank you to our planner, Rachel, who brought so much excitement, optimism, and confidence to the couple’s wedding planning process. We wish Edwin and Bricia so many more years of happiness and love!
