Some rehearsal dinners turn into events of their own. Traditionally the rehearsal dinner was a gift from the parents of the groom held on the night before the couple ties the knot!
Here are FIVE tips to plan the perfect rehearsal dinner!
Decide who is hosting/contributing financially.
Pick a date and venue/restaurant (this can be a brunch, lunch or dinner) this event will take place the day prior to your wedding. You can go casual or fancy, find what fits your style and your budget best.
Consider holding your rehearsal dinner at the winery or restaurant you held your first date. Maybe the groom is Italian and you want to hold it at an authentic Italian restaurant. (Make it personable & fun!)
The guest list- typically includes everyone participating in the wedding ceremony + their spouses or dates. You may invite your out-of -town guests as well since they may have travelled far to celebrate with you. To keep costs down, you can opt to serving wine/beer only, hors d’oeuvres, & a dessert spread as opposed to serving a full plated meal to every guest.
???? whoever is hosting is the one who’s toasting! They will also welcome the guests at the beginning of the rehearsal dinner. Make sure you and your fiancé thank your guests, and the host before the end of the dinner.
