Wedding dresses are the most important (and expensive) garments many women will wear in their entire lifetime. If you have already started looking around for dresses, you know how spendy dresses can be. With Anomalie, saying “yes to the dress” doesn’t have to break your wedding budget. The Anomalie Collection starts at $1,399, and the Anomalie Bespoke starts at $1,800. Co-founder Leslie Voorhees launched Anomalie when she was an eager and excited bride herself. She was frustrated with the high markups and non-transparent processes at many wedding dress boutiques she shopped with. Leslie and her husband formed direct relationships with the best suppliers to create Anomalie.
“The end result for our customer is that we can deliver a higher level of quality and customization for a better price than any other option in the bridal industry.” – Leslie Voorhees

Bridal appointments have always been a part of the wedding journey. Choosing the perfect gown with family and friends is an exciting occasion for the bride. Being pampered by stylists is also a truly delightful experience. Today, brides can have the same high-end experience even through online shopping. Here’s what usually happens on a virtual bridal appointment.
A bridal appointment will be a series of video calls. The first one will be a consultation with the stylist. Similar to in-house consultations, the stylist will ask the bride questions to get an idea of what their personality is like and what styles will suit them best. The stylist will also ask if they already have particular design elements they want in the gown. This will narrow down designs and help the stylist give better recommendations.
When shopping online, the bride will have to take their own measurements and send them to the stylist. Most bridal boutiques send step-by-step instructions on how to take measurements. This is so they can find the best fit according to what the bride sends them. It’s then essential to follow these instructions well to avoid alterations in size.
Based on previous consultations, the stylist will prepare a digital gallery of gowns for the bride to choose from. Some of these gowns will be displayed on mannequins, so it will be easier to see how they will look like when worn.
Some boutiques send gown samples for the bride to try on at home. If this option is available, it can be turned into a virtual conference with the bridesmaids and family, so they can help the bride choose which dress to say yes to.
For those who want to have their gown customized, stylists will be there to offer assistance. The stylist will use images, videos, or sketches to show what alterations can be done or what embellishments can be added. Indeed, brides today can buy the perfect wedding dress online.
“Fit and design that’s totally you.” – Anomalie
The elegance and magic is not lost by going virtual. With Anomalie you can still be wisped away into a world of beautiful bridal gowns, and relive the fond memories of twirling in your mother’s wedding gown as a child.
