When you first meet a couple, there’s a moment that you know that you’ll be a perfect fit for them.
My moment for Diana and Connor’s wedding is when I first asked him how to say his last name.
“Is it Ronan, like Guardians of the Galaxy?” And our bond was sealed.
I remember this day, not only because I was looking forward to watching these two love birds tie the knot, but because the weather was insane. I stayed up all night listening to the storm, and wondering how bad the ground was going to be. I arrived at 8:00 AM onsite in my PJ’s to look at the ground (AKA-Mud), and make sure we were good to go for the tent. I just kept thinking “How are we going to make this amazing”.
Connor and Diana trusted me fully, every time I gave them news, they took it in Stride. They focused on their family, their friends and each other, and let me get everything else perfect. It takes a lot of trust to let a wedding coordinator run your day, and In the case of Diana and Connor, this meant a lot of flexibility. Trusting their vendor team to make the best choices for them.
Megan from RW Style helped me create our plan to bring cocktail hour inside, so the guests could fully enjoy their drinks without getting soaked. Our amazing Photographer, Sydney Marie came up with the awesome idea to move our toasts and dances before dinner so we could use as much natural light as possible (Since we had about 35 minutes of sun). We put the tent up (Which I’m thankful for, because it Spritzed all the way through dinner), but this was a crowd that came to party. And Flyer Fly’s DJ Chris delivered by putting his equipment in a way that allowed him to be safety inside, while the guests could dance out in the rain (And Dance they did!)
In the end, the wedding was different from our plan A on paper (actually, it was different than our plan A, B and C). But, when you look back on their day (Thanks to some AMAZING photos), and you can’t deny that it was more perfect than anyone could’ve imaged.
So here’s to Mr. and Mrs. Connor and Diana Ronan!! Here’s to never-ending love and joy!!
Love,Jess Clark
