Even in the midst of wedding season, I was lucky enough to spend the day with Mrs. Taylor and learn more about the rental side of events. The first part of our day began with a tour of their showroom and their warehouse, which is quite intricate—from chairs, tables, chargers, and flatware, A Chair Affair, Inc has a place for it all. Mrs. Taylor also walked me through the different steps of the operation beginning with the placement of the order, all the way through load in and set up.
After the tour, we came back to the showroom where I was able to sit down and ask her some questions about how the company got started, where they are today, and any additional information that I could bring back to the ladies of Blush! Mrs. Taylor told me the story of purchasing 350 chairs for her daughters wedding and how afterwards she saw the opportunity to begin “A Chair Affair, Inc.” Her collection has since grown from the standard chiavari, or wedding chairs, and has now flourished into a variety of rental products.
